Career Opportunities with Fleetfoot Messenger Service

Fleetfoot utilizes couriers and Independent Contractors to deliver small parcels via bicycle, car and small truck. Our bicycle riders deliver small parcels (mostly envelopes) in the downtown Seattle and downtown Bellevue areas. You must use your own bicycle and are paid commission on each delivery. Most bikers average $10 to $14 per hour. Our car and small truck drivers also provide their own vehicles and are paid, as Independent Contractors, a commission roughly equal to 50% of the delivery charges. On average, car drivers earn between $16 and $24 per hour. All couriers should have a neat appearance, good driving record and an ability to think for themselves and make independent routing decisions.

As an added benefit for couriers, Fleetfoot is the only major delivery service in Seattle that uses "Free Call Dispatch". In Free Call, couriers bid on deliveries in an organized fashion rather than having deliveries assigned to them by the dispatcher. This allows couriers to select their jobs and maximize their earning power. Income is NOT limited by dispatch favoritism. This system also enhances productivity and the quality of service to the customers.

Fleetfoot utilizes state-of-the-art dispatch software which is easy to learn and serves to decrease stress and tension in the dispatch office. Our "Capture Operators", who capture the information from our customers as each order is called in, earn $9 per hour and more, depending on experience. Dispatchers, who coordinate the free call process for the couriers, earn $11 and more per hour. A Monthly Bonus Program is also in effect which usually adds between $60 and $160 per month for superior phone performances! Fleetfoot offers a friendly, casual atmosphere in which to work with an emphasis on making the "daily routine" more fun and enjoyable.
